What’s Happening Around Memphis This Weekend: September 25–27, 2026

There’s something I love about this time of year in Memphis.

The weather may not quite feel like fall yet (because…Memphis ), but the calendar is starting to look like it. Festivals are popping up, music is everywhere, people are getting outside, and there are plenty of reasons to get out of the house and enjoy our city.

So if you’re sitting there thinking, “What should we actually do this weekend?” — I’ve got you.

Here are a few things happening around Memphis this weekend, September 25–27, that caught my attention.

The Pink Palace Crafts Fair Is Back Home

September 25–27 | Pink Palace Museum & Mansion

This one is a Memphis classic.

The Pink Palace Crafts Fair is celebrating its 54th year, and this year it’s back at the Pink Palace Museum & Mansion grounds. More than 150 artists and makers will be there with everything from pottery and jewelry to artwork, woodwork, textiles and more. (Mosh Memphis)

And if you’re anything like me, you might go thinking, “I’m just going to look.”

And then come home with something you absolutely did not need but somehow couldn’t leave without.

The fair runs Friday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and your ticket also includes same-day admission to the museum’s permanent collections. (Mosh Memphis)

Local tip: Give yourself plenty of time to walk around. This isn’t really a “pop in for 30 minutes” kind of event.

Asian Night Market at the Agricenter

Saturday, September 26 & Sunday, September 27

If you’re a food person, you’re probably going to want to hear about this one.

The Asian Night Market returns to the Agricenter for its fourth year, with more than 100 food, drink, dessert and shopping vendors, along with cultural performances, live music and a lantern walk. (Asian Night Market Memphis)

Saturday runs from 4–10 p.m., and Sunday runs 11 a.m.–7 p.m.

And the food lineup alone is enough to make me want to go. Think dumplings, bánh mì, mango sticky rice, Filipino food, Korean street food, Thai dishes and so much more.

There’s also a Lantern Walk Saturday evening at 7:45 p.m., which sounds like such a fun way to end the night. (Asian Night Market Memphis)

This would be a fun family outing, girls’ night or date night — especially if you want to do something that feels a little different from your normal weekend routine.

Gonerfest Is Taking Over Memphis

September 24–27

If live music is more your thing, Memphis definitely has you covered.

Gonerfest 23 is happening throughout the weekend, with shows around Broad Avenue and a Sunday finale at the Overton Park Shell. More than 30 bands are part of this year’s festival. (Memphis Travel)

And if you’ve never experienced Gonerfest, this is one of those very Memphis events that showcases a side of our music scene you don’t necessarily see on the typical tourist itinerary.

It’s loud, it’s independent, it’s eclectic — and very Memphis.

Latin Fest 901

Saturday, September 26 | Noon–6 p.m. | Overton Square

Another Saturday option I love is Latin Fest 901.

Hosted by Cazateatro as part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the free event will feature live music, dancing, food, vendors, children’s activities and storytelling. 

I love seeing events like this because they give you a chance to experience another culture right here in our own backyard — and Overton Square is the perfect place to spend the rest of your afternoon once the festival wraps up.

Grab a bite, walk around and make a whole afternoon out of it.

Friday Night at Crosstown

Mid-Autumn Festival | September 25 | 6–9 p.m.

If you want something that feels a little more laid-back Friday night, head over to Crosstown Concourse for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

There will be lion dances, folk dancing, live music, a fashion show, face painting, crafts, food and mooncakes. It’s free and open to all ages. (Crosstown Arts)

And honestly, Crosstown is one of those Memphis places I never get tired of.

Even without a specific event, there’s always something happening there — and it’s a great reminder of just how much character Memphis has tucked into unexpected places.

A Very Memphis Night at the Overton Park Shell

There’s also plenty happening at the Overton Park Shell this weekend.

Friday night brings the Memphis Country Blues Festival, and Sunday brings the Gonerfest finale. (Memphis Travel)

The Shell is one of those places that feels quintessentially Memphis to me.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab something to eat, settle in and listen to live music under the trees.

Sometimes the simplest nights end up being the best ones.

Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience

Saturday, September 26 | 7 p.m. | University of Memphis

For something a little more special, there’s Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience at the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center.

The performance brings Delta blues together with the University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra, with Freeman’s voice and creative vision woven into the experience. (Memphis Travel)

This would make for a really fun date night if you’re looking for something beyond dinner and a movie.

Want a Little Fall?

If you’re willing to make a short drive into Mississippi, Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando is kicking off its fall season this weekend.

Pumpkins, a corn maze, pig races and all the fall-farm things we start craving around this time of year. (Hey Memphis)

Now, I realize it’s still probably going to feel more like summer than fall.

But if you’ve lived in Memphis for any amount of time, you know the drill:

We decorate for fall first. The weather catches up whenever it’s ready.

And This Is Why I Love Living Here

One of my favorite things about Memphis isn’t just the big events.

It’s the fact that there is almost always something happening somewhere.

A festival in Midtown. Live music in Overton Park. A night market at the Agricenter. A neighborhood event. A new restaurant to try. A local artist showing their work. A Saturday morning at the farmers market.

You don’t always have to plan a big weekend away to feel like you’ve done something.

Sometimes you just have to get out and experience your own city.

And as someone who gets to help people find homes throughout the Memphis area, that’s one of the things I love most about what I do.

Because finding the right home isn’t just about the house.

It’s about where you’re going to spend your Friday nights. Where your kids will make memories. Where you’ll grab coffee on Saturday mornings. Which neighborhood events you’ll end up making traditions out of. And what it feels like to actually live there.

That’s what makes a community feel like home.

So whether you’re headed to the Pink Palace Crafts Fair, grabbing food at the Asian Night Market, listening to music at the Shell, or simply finding a new Memphis spot you’ve never tried before…
