Memphis is packed with things to do this weekend!From championship golf and Elvis Week celebrations to an adults-only night at the Memphis Zoo and a throwback evening at the Dixon, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the city from Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16.

If you're looking for something fun to do in and around Memphis this weekend, here are a few events worth putting on your calendar.

⛳ FedEx St. Jude Championship — August 13–16

One of the biggest events happening in Memphis this weekend is theFedEx St. Jude Championshipat TPC Southwind.

The PGA TOUR's first FedExCup Playoffs event brings some of the biggest names in professional golf to Memphis, including stars such as Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. The tournament runs through Sunday, August 16.

Even if you're not attending in person, it's a great weekend to follow the action and see Memphis showcased on a national stage.

Zoo Brew is back!The Memphis Zoo is bringing back this popular 21-and-over event on Friday evening from 7–10 p.m.

Guests can enjoy local, regional, and national breweries, live music, lawn games, photo opportunities and the chance to explore the zoo after hours. VIP admission includes early entry at 6 p.m. and a gift bag.

This could be a great option for a date night, a night out with friends or simply a different way to kick off the weekend.

🎤 Elvis Week Continues — August 14–16

If there's one weekend when Memphis truly embraces its musical history, this is it.

Elvis Week 2026runs through Sunday, August 16, bringing Elvis fans from around the world to Memphis for concerts, special events, panels, fan gatherings and other celebrations of Elvis Presley's life and legacy.

The annualCandlelight Vigiltakes place on August 15 and remains one of the signature events of Elvis Week.

Whether you're a lifelong Elvis fan or simply want to experience one of Memphis' most iconic traditions, Graceland is a particularly interesting place to visit this weekend.

🕺 1970s Community Night at the Dixon — Saturday, August 15

Want something a little more low-key and family-friendly?

Head to the Dixon Gallery & Gardens on Saturday evening for1970s Community Night, happening from 5–8 p.m.

The event is part of the Dixon's Community Days and Nights programming and welcomes visitors of all ages. The evening celebrates the 1970s with special activities and community programming while also celebrating the Dixon's 50th anniversary.

Break out the bell-bottoms, embrace the retro vibe and enjoy an evening surrounded by art and gardens.

Good for:Families, art lovers and anyone who appreciates a little nostalgia.

🌾 Check Out a Local Farmers Market

If your ideal Saturday or Sunday involves getting outside, shopping local and enjoying the slower side of Memphis, consider checking out one of the area's farmers markets.

August is a great time for fresh local produce, flowers, baked goods and other seasonal offerings. One option featured on the Memphis-area August event calendar is theSummer Harvest Pop-Up at Lightfoot Farm Market, scheduled for August 14, 16 and additional dates later in the month.

It's a nice way to spend part of the weekend before heading to another event—or simply enjoying a relaxed morning around town.

☀️ A Quick Note About the Memphis Heat

One thing to keep in mind this weekend:it's going to be hot.

Triple-digit temperatures are expected in Memphis, particularly around the FedEx St. Jude Championship.

If you're heading outdoors, plan accordingly. Bring plenty of water, wear sunscreen, take breaks in the shade or air conditioning, and consider scheduling outdoor activities earlier in the day when possible.

Whether you're watching professional golf, celebrating the King of Rock 'n' Roll, enjoying an evening at the zoo or exploring local art and community events, there are plenty of ways to experience what makes this city special.
