What's Happening Around Memphis This Weekend? June 12-14, 2026
Looking for something fun to do this weekend?
Whether you're looking for live music, family-friendly activities, outdoor adventures, great food, or simply an excuse to get out of the house, there is plenty happening around Memphis and the surrounding suburbs this weekend.
And honestly, after the week we've had, getting outside sounds pretty good.
🌉 The Memphis Flyway Opens This Weekend
The biggest event in town may very well be the grand opening of the Memphis Flyway at Tom Lee Park.
Officially opening on Friday, June 12, the Flyway is a 220-foot elevated walkway that takes visitors through the tree canopy and out toward the Mississippi River, offering incredible views of the river and downtown Memphis. It's quickly becoming one of the most unique attractions on the riverfront.
If you haven't visited Tom Lee Park since its renovation, this is the perfect excuse. Grab your walking shoes, your camera, and prepare for some incredible photo opportunities.
Perfect for:
Families

Anyone who loves Memphis
🎶 Friday Night: Music by the Lake in Bartlett
Nothing says summer quite like live music by the water.
The Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center is kicking off its annual Music by the Lake series Friday evening with Almost Elton John & The Rocketmen performing from 6-9 p.m. at Appling Lake. Food trucks will be on site, and admission is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a relaxing summer evening.
⚾ Memphis Redbirds Baseball
Summer and baseball just belong together.
The Redbirds are home this month with plenty of themed nights, promotions, fireworks, and family fun at AutoZone Park. If you're looking for a classic Memphis summer experience, it's hard to beat a night downtown at the ballpark.
🇵🇭 Saturday: Philippine Fiesta at Agricenter International
Looking for something different?
The Philippine Fiesta takes place Saturday at Agricenter International, celebrating Filipino culture with food, music, traditional performances, and family-friendly entertainment.
It's one of the more unique cultural events happening around Memphis this weekend and a great opportunity to experience something new.
🛍️ Arlington Crossing Market
If you enjoy shopping local, head to Arlington on Saturday.
The Arlington Crossing Market features local vendors, artisan goods, boutiques, food trucks, and entertainment. It's a great way to support small businesses while enjoying a beautiful summer day.
🎤 Alabama at Live at the Garden
One of the biggest concerts of the weekend belongs to country music legends Alabama.
Live at the Garden continues its summer concert series Saturday night at the Memphis Botanic Garden. Pack your chairs, your cooler, and enjoy a night of music under the stars.
🚴 Shelby Farms Park
Not every weekend activity needs a ticket.
Shelby Farms remains one of the best places in Memphis to spend a summer day.
You can:
Walk the trails
Bike the Greenline
Paddle boat on the lake
Let the kids play
Enjoy a picnic
And with all the sunshine we're getting, it's a perfect weekend to explore one of Memphis' greatest assets.
🎭 Beauty and the Beast at the Orpheum

Disney's Beauty and the Beast continues at the Orpheum Theatre and remains one of the most popular family-friendly entertainment options in the city this month.

The Orion Financial Free Concert Series continues this weekend at Overton Park Shell.
Bring a blanket, grab some friends, and enjoy one of Memphis' favorite summer traditions—free outdoor music in one of the city's most iconic venues.
🍳 Sunday Brunch Around Town
No Memphis weekend guide would be complete without brunch.
Whether you're headed to Germantown, Collierville, East Memphis, Midtown, or Downtown, Sunday brunch is practically a local sport.

Enjoy the Weekend
One thing I hear occasionally is that there's nothing to do in Memphis.
The truth is exactly the opposite.
From the opening of the Memphis Flyway to concerts, baseball, festivals, local markets, and outdoor adventures, there is always something happening around Memphis, Germantown, Collierville, Bartlett, Lakeland, Arlington, and beyond.
Whatever you choose to do, get outside, support local businesses, enjoy our community, and make the most of the weekend.
